Over the years, more and more companies have come to embrace the concept of managing the provision of their IT services based on industry best practice as documented in ITIL and BS 15000. This is reflected in the increased attendance year-on-year at the annual itSMF Conference & Exhibition. As evangelists for Service Management, we should celebrate this success but there is no room for complacency. Neither the IT industry nor our individual organisations can afford to stand still and our own contribution should not be any different.
