The best way to demonstrate compliance is to have an external assessment carried out by one of the Registered Certification Bodies (RCBs). These are independent and impartial assessments which add value because they are carried out by auditors who have specifically been trained in IT Service Management.

The certificate of compliance demonstrates that you have been independently assessed as having adequate controls and procedures in place and that you are able to consistently deliver a quality IT service which fulfils the requirements of the IT Service Management standard.
